The Israel-Hamas conflict continues to drag on with no sign of an end, and a new round of fighting has emerged.
The war between Israel and Hamas has killed more than 2,500 Palestinians and wounded over 5,000 in Gaza since 2008.
Since Israel began its campaign, the conflict has raged with rockets raining down on Israel from Gaza.
Israel has said the rockets are meant to deter Hamas from carrying out attacks against it.
A report published this week by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said the Gaza Strip has become a magnet for Palestinian suicide bombers.
More than 3,600 Palestinians have died and hundreds of thousands have been displaced.
The report, titled “Deaths and Injuries in the Gaza War”, said nearly half of the Palestinian fatalities in the conflict have been civilians.
It said over 1,400 civilians have been killed.
Israel says the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip is responsible for the rockets and other weapons attacks.
The UN has been urging the international community to respond to the conflict with humanitarian aid, but Hamas has dismissed the request.
